COMPLETION OF REDEMPTION OF SECURITIES

Reference is made to the announcement of NWD Finance (BVI) Limited (the "Issuer") dated 2 September 2021 in relation to the notice of redemption issued by the Issuer to redeem the U.S.$1,200,000,000 5.75 per cent. Guaranteed Senior Perpetual Capital Securities (the "Securities").

The Issuer has on 5 October 2021 redeemed all of the outstanding Securities in accordance with the notice of redemption. There are no Securities in issue following completion of the redemption and cancellation of the Securities. The Issuer has applied to The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited for the withdrawal of listing of the Securities. Listing of the Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited will be withdrawn with effect upon the close of business on 13 October 2021.
