Today we announced that Syndeo Network, a fiber-optic based broadband communications service provider, has selected our OptiDriver® platform to upgrade and streamline its WDM network. Syndeo Network provides telecommunications services to 21 counties in northern Illinois and owns a fiber installation subsidiary, DeKalb Fiber Optics, that serves education, enterprise, and government institutions.

What does MRV's OptiDriver provide Syndeo? The metro optical transport solution addresses Syndeo's current challenges, as well as provides an evolution to support greater bandwidth with lower power requirements and a compact footprint, in order to support 100G capabilities.

Furthermore, the upgraded network also includes MRV's Pro-Vision®, Life Cycle Service Orchestration (LSO) service management and orchestration software platform. This further simplifies Syndeo Network's end-to-end optical service provisioning and management. The complete set of automated tools eases network operations from planning and provisioning, to visualizing and optimizing packet and optical networks and services.

'MRV strives to provide regional service providers with the comprehensive solutions they need to expand as the needs of their customers do the same,' stated Scott St. John, Senior Vice President of Global Sales & Service for MRV. 'I am pleased we were able to meet Syndeo Network's 100G solution needs, while also supporting its existing 10G services.'
