Mitani Sangyo Co., Ltd. announced consolidated earnings results for the fiscal nine months ended December 31, 2017. For the period, the company reported net sales were JPY 58,799 million as compared to JPY 46,653 million for the same period last year. Operating profit was JPY 1,245 million as compared to JPY 987 million for the same period last year. Profit before income taxes was JPY 1,646 million as compared to JPY 1,491 million for the same period last year. Profit attributable to owners of parent was JPY 1,146 million as compared to JPY 988 million for the same period last year. Earnings per share were JPY 20.12 as compared to JPY 17.66 for the same period last year. Ordinary profit was JPY 1,695 million against JPY 1,376 million a year ago.
The company provided earnings guidance for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2018. For the year ending March 31, 2018, the company expects net sales to be JPY 82,500 million, operating profit to be JPY 2,800 million, ordinary profit to be JPY 3,100 million and profit attributable to owners of parent to be JPY 1,800 million or JPY 31.59.
