ASX ANNOUNCEMENT/MEDIA RELEASE PRIME RESOURCES APPOINTED FOR ESIA ON CABINDA PROJECT

Minbos Resources Limited (ASX: MNB) (Company) is pleased to advise the appointment of Prime Resources (Pty) Limited (Prime Resources) for the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA). The ESIA forms part of Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS) for the Company's Cabinda Rock Phosphate Project (Cabinda Project) in Angola.

Prime Resources is a South African based group of consulting environmental scientists and engineers serving clients across a wide range of industries but predominantly focussed on natural resources and mining. Established in 2003 the group has completed an array of projects in Southern Africa including rock phosphate and other projects in Angola.

Prime Resources completed the Environmental and Social Baseline Report for the Cabinda Desktop Study in 2012 and will build on the knowledge and data compiled in that study to complete the ESIA. The study will be completed in accordance with the Equator Principles which have been formally adopted by 70% of financial institutions covering international Project Finance debt in emerging markets. Prime Resources will coordinate with Ausenco (BFS Engineer) to deliver a seamless document for Angolan Approvals and Project Financiers.

Minbos CEO Lindsay Reed said: "Prime Resources delivered for us on the Desktop Study and the JV partners had no hesitation in appointing them for the social and environmental component of the BFS. The ESIA is the critical path element of the BFS and we are pleased to get the process underway now."

During the Trade-Off Study Prime Resources will focus on baseline data gathering and will then refine its study in line with the selected beneficiation route. Regardless of which route is selected for initial beneficiation it is intended that Prime Resources will complete an ESIA that covers the transition to flotation ores and the exploitation of the 15Mt resource at the Cacata deposit. The Cabinda Project is a 50:50 joint venture between Minbos and Petril and the partners are funding the BFS work programs equally.
