Metallurgical of China : MCC Holds a Video Conference on Production Safety for 2022

　　On the morning of April 26, MCC held a video conference on production safety for 2022, in order to further practice the spirit of the National Production Safety Videophone Conference and the Production Safety Work Video Conference of Central Enterprises, implement "fifteen tough measures" issued by the Safe Production Committee of the State Council, the requirements raised by SASAC and China Minmetals for production safety work, and further strengthen, deploy and implement production safety work during the "May Day" holiday and in the next step. Zhang Mengxing, Deputy Party Secretary of MCC and China MCC and President of China MCC, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Wang Zirui, Chief Safety Officer of MCC, presided over the meeting.

　　Zhang Mengxing publicized the "fifteen tough measures" issued by the Safe Production Committee of the State Council, analyzed the current situation and problems about the enterprise's production safety, and put forward four requirements on production safety work during the "May Day" holiday and in the next step.

　　First, adopt a new concept, reshape the mechanism, and understand production safety work from a political perspective. We should thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions, implement the spirit of a series of conferences including the National Production Safety Videophone Conference, update our minds with new development concept, actively explore a long-term governance mechanism, and modernize our production safety governance system and capacity while preventing and defusing major risks.

　　Second, reinforce system construction and fully implement safety management measures. We must adhere to systematic governance and promote production safety work as a whole; seriously treat risk resources, strictly defend "project access", intensify subcontracting reviews and detect on-site "dangers"; strictly implement the group's systems, and carry out safety production work by iron rules.

　　Third, comprehensively examine production safety and investigate hidden dangers. We must make full preparation for the safe production inspections organized by the Safe Production Committee of the State Council, MOHURD and the Ministry of Emergency Management. The responsible units should earnestly assume the supervision responsibility assigned by the group. Meanwhile, the subsidiaries should fulfill the subject responsibility of enterprises, continuously carry out dragnet-like, blanket-like and full-coverage inspections and hidden danger investigations, and comprehensively defuse potential risks.

　　Fourth, ensure production safety and epidemic prevention during the holiday. It is necessary to strengthen emergency duty and watch, assign leaders/cadres to take charge of shifts, and adopt a 24-hour watch system for key posts. At the same time, we must strictly follow the epidemic prevention and control requirements raised by the local government, fulfill the subject responsibility of prevention and control, and strictly take prevention and control measures to ensure effective epidemic prevention and control.

　　In order to make the voice of the group reach the grassroots and the frontline of projects, this meeting was held in the form of "offline main venue + online sub-venues". The leadership members of MCC and China MCC Yan Aizhong, Zou Hongying, Qu Yang, Zeng Jianzhong and Zhu Guangxia; non-leadership senior executives and general counsels; the principals of all functional departments of the headquarters; the main people in charge and safety management-related personnel of subsidiaries working in the MCC Tower were present at the main venue. The leadership member of MCC and China MCC Liu Fuming; the main leaders, persons in charge of production safety, and heads of the safety supervision departments of subsidiaries; the main persons in charge and safety management personnel of tertiary subsidiaries; the project leaders, persons in charge of safety and safety management personnel of the group's 2,132 projects under construction, totaling 14,452 people, were present at 2,486 video-based sub-venues.
