ANDOVER, Mass. (AP) _ Mercury Systems Inc. (MRCY) on Tuesday reported a loss of $10.9 million in its fiscal second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Andover, Massachusetts-based company said it had a loss of 19 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 26 cents per share.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 33 cents per share.

The maker of processing systems and software posted revenue of $229.6 million in the period, which also did not meet Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $233.2 million.

For the current quarter ending in March, Mercury Systems expects its per-share earnings to range from 32 cents to 42 cents.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $245 million to $260 million for the fiscal third quarter.

Mercury Systems expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.90 to $2.08 per share, with revenue ranging from $1.01 billion to $1.05 billion.
