Selected for the First Time as a Component of the "MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index"

Attained MSCI ESG Rating "A"

MEDIPAL HOLDINGS CORPORATION ("MEDIPAL") has been selected for the first time as a component of the "MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index" in recognition of our efforts regarding ESG (Environment, Society, and Governance). This is an index used by GPIF (Government Pension Investment Fund), one of the world's largest pension management institutions, for ESG investment. We received an MSCI ESG rating of "A".

This index is an ESG investment index created and provided by Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) of the United States. Using the "MSCI Japan Stocks IMI Index" as the index, stocks of Japanese companies with high ESG ratings within each industry are selected. It is a global evaluation index for ESG investment that ranks on a seven-level scale from the highest level of "AAA" to "CCC".

As a company responsible for distribution, MEDIPAL has currently been promoting initiatives such as "reducing greenhouse gas emissions" through business activities that are considerate of the global environment and "spreading diversity and inclusion" to foster a creative corporate culture.
