COME AND GET A SELFIE WITH BOROBI!

Meet Borobi, the official replica mascot for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, at Manx Telecom's Strand Street shop, on Saturday 3^rd February.

The large blue 90cm koala bear will be in the Strand Street store between 10:30am - 3pm, along with a number of athletes from Team Isle of Man who will be representing the Island in Australia in March this year.

Raffle tickets will also be on sale at the event for a chance to win Borobi, meaning one lucky person will be taking him home! Funds raised will go towards Team Isle of Man's journey to Australia.

The Island's leading communications provider, Manx Telecom is a team champion for Team Isle of Man, alongside local firms Auxesia, Escape The Rock, Paysafe , Skanco and SMP Partners.

Manx Telecom CEO Gary Lamb said: 'We are proud to have been the very first Team Champion for Team Isle of Man all the way back in 2013, and it is a privilege to once again support our Island's athletes in the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

'I would encourage everyone to pop into the Manx Telecom shop on Saturday 3^rd February to show their support to Team Isle of Man, raise money for the 32 athletes going to Australia and to have some fun getting a selfie with Borobi!'

Basil Bielich, Isle of Man CGA President, said: 'We hope to see lots of people come down to Manx Telecom and buy tickets to win Borobi - he is fantastic mascot that will make a great addition to any home!

'We are so grateful to Manx Telecom and all the other Team Champions for their support - the Isle of Man Commonwealth Games Association would not be able to do what it does without their backing. '
