Meralco continues its support in Renewable Energy by partnering with the Association of City/Municipal Electrical Engineers & Electricians of the Philippines (ACMEEE) for the Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Capacity Building Seminar held recently at the QCX Museum in Quezon City.
This is the second leg of the knowledge-sharing event where Meralco led the sessions aimed at educating engineers and inspectors of local government units (LGUs) on the latest Solar PV technologies and inspection protocols (based on the 2014 edition of the National Electrical Code). Representing their LGUs were local engineers and inspectors from Quezon City, Pasig, Marikina, Antipolo, as well as other municipalities of the Rizal Province. Previously, LGU representatives from Makati, Taguig, Parañaque, Las Piñas and Muntinlupa also took part in a similar seminar.
Meralco intends to engage all LGUs within its franchise area to bring forward customer safety and grid stability by cascading vital information about solar installations.
