Innovative cloud solution powers Poplar Building & Drainage Supplies
MAM Software is pleased to announce that Poplar Building & Drainage Supplies (PBS), an independent builders merchant and NMBS member, has selected Trader Online, MAM Software's cloud based business management software, to control its IT infrastructure.
PBS provides civil engineering products, building materials and landscaping products to a wide variety of projects. The company has supplied a number of prestigious projects including the London 2012 Olympic Village, the M80 motorway and various supermarkets such as Tesco and Sainsburys, among others. After hearing about Trader in the press, it evaluated and installed the system in December 2012.
Trader is a comprehensive point-of-sale, stock, accounting and reporting solution for merchants and wholesalers. Its intuitive screen layouts simplify business processes and promote efficient working practises. Trader Online is the cloud version of this software, offering the same rich functionality while freeing users from hardware expenses. Offered as a monthly, per-user subscription, Trader Online avoids the larger up-front costs of similar 'on-premise' solutions.
"After considering all of our options, we found Trader Online to be the most easy to use, fully functional and cost effective solution" said Graeme Dick, Director of PBS. "We never felt like our old system worked hard enough for us, it was fragile and unreliable. POS and stock control routines just weren't good enough, and we had no real margin control or analysis.
"With Trader Online we hope to improve our sales margins with better analysis of our customers, products and sales staff. We'll also have better price control, both selling and buying, and be able to manage and control our stock levels more efficiently. We believe MAM's solution will improve our overall customer service, as well as helping PBS to give off a more professional image."
"We are delighted that PBS have become the latest NMBS member to install Trader Online" said Ben Whitehouse, Business Development Manager at MAM Software. "Our cloud solutions are designed for any size of business and bring together all the tools required to manage operations effectively."
