Mako Hydrocarbons Ltd. ("Mako" or the "Company") provides the following update on its progress with new well tie-ins and upgrading facilities in Provost, Alberta.
As previously announced, Mako has undertaken an upgrade to its Provost battery facilities to address production constraints affecting its existing producing wells and the three recently drilled wells. Upgrades, which include the installation of a free water knockout, electrification of the facilities and pumps, installation of a high volume water injection pump and the installation of flowlines, have been designed to meet the Company's needs for all existing and planned wells.
Due to abnormal inclement weather in the Provost area, the already delayed upgrade operations have been further hampered. However, the battery upgrades to facilitate water-handling and increase oil productive capacity is now well underway. Weather permitting, production from the three newly drilled wells is expected to come on-stream by the end of July.
