Maeda Kosen Co., Ltd. (TSE:7821) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase 1,000,000 shares, representing 3.1% of the outstanding shares for ¥2,000 million. The purpose of the program is to improve shareholder returns and capital efficiency, and to suppress the dilution of shares due to the issuance of bonds with warrants. The program will run until September 20, 2019. As of March 20, 2019, the company had 32,257,808 shares outstanding and 2,392 shares in treasury.
