(Alliance News) - Live Co Group PLC on Friday said its subsidiary KPOP LUX Ltd has signed a deal with Korean broadcaster SBS to create two K-pop events in Europe in 2023.

The Surrey, England-based live events and entertainment company said that KPOP LUX - a division of Live Co that organises and promotes K-pop concerts in Europe and Asia - have agreed to create a concert in Madrid in July 2023 and a three-day festival in London in September 2023 in partnership with SBS.

The company said the London show will take place on September 22, 23 and 24 at the O2 Arena, with tickets to go on sale in the first quarter.

The concert in Madrid will take place on July 22 at the 52,000 seat Civitas Metropolitano stadium, with tickets also going on sale in the first quarter.

SBS will act as producer of both shows, while Live Co will be the executive producer at the Madrid show, and its joint venture KPE will executive produce the London event.

Live Co Chair David Ciclitira said: "I'm delighted to have reached an agreement with SBS to put on two K-pop concerts in Europe this year. With their artistic direction and unrivalled knowledge, both shows will be incredible. This will be the start of a long-term relationship with other projects already in the pipeline."

Live Co shares were down 1.4% trading at 2.71 pence per share at midday on Friday in London.
