Linz Textil reported earnings results for the year 2014. The company posted a loss of EUR 1.3 million, after a profit of EUR 3.7 million generated in 2013. LBIT was EUR 1.8 million, after a minor profit of EUR 2.12 posted in 2013. The pre-tax profit shrank to EUR 17,000, from EUR 4.69 million a year earlier. Unplanned write-downs regarding a Chinese viscose subsidiary in Nanking to the tune of EUR 2.4 million have contributed considerably to that development. Revenue slipped from EUR 131.4 million to EUR 117.7 million, cash flow from operating activities fell from EUR 8.29 to EUR 7.8 million.

The company believes the restructuring programme is going to bear fruit in 2015, so that a positive result can be expected by the end of 2015.
