Lincoln Financial Group Names James DelBello Senior Vice President And Head Of Business Law And Compliance

Radnor, PA, January 4, 2013 - Lincoln Financial Group (NYSE:LNC) announced today that James DelBello joined the company as senior vice president and head of Business Law and Compliance, effective December 31, 2012. In his role, DelBello, 43, is responsible for managing all of the business unit aligned legal and compliance resources across the company. He will also provide legal counsel on complex business issues, compliance matters and other initiatives. DelBello reports directly to Adam Ciongoli, Lincoln Financial's executive vice president and general counsel, and he will also serve on the company's Corporate Leadership Group.

DelBello joins Lincoln Financial from Morgan, Lewis and Bockius, LLP, where he served as a partner in the Philadelphia-based law firm since 2004. He also previously served as law clerk to Steven J. McEwen, Jr., a former President Judge of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.

DelBello received a B.A. in History from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from the Villanova University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
