LG Electronics has introduced digital donation kiosks at the LG Twin Towers in Seoul, South Korea as well as its facilities in Pyeongtaek and Changwon, according to a press release.

The kiosk screens display information about donation opportunities such as supporting families in crisis, children facing food insecurity or injured firefighters. LG employees can tap their employee ID cards on the kiosk, choose a recipient and donate any amount of money from 1,000 won to 50,000 won. There is no limit on the number of donations an employee can give.

The initiative is part of a partnership between the LG Electronics Labor Union and the Junior Board, which is a representative body of the LG office workers. LG Electronics manufactured the donation kiosks using its LG Kiosk technology.

"Employees who wanted to participate in social contribution activities or found it inconvenient to find donation channels can now easily and conveniently donate through the donation kiosks," Son Myung-su, head of the LG Electronics junior board, said in the release. "We hope these donations can provide a little strength to those in need."
