MONTOURSVILLE, Pa., May 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- LEEP, Inc.
(Pink Sheets: LPPI), announced today that the company has formally retained
NCE, Inc. Consulting Structural Engineers, headquartered in Irvine,
California. NCE, Inc. will provide structural engineering services and
support for an ICC Evaluation Report for its LeepCore(TM) structural,
insulated (R-25) building panel. The result of an ICC Evaluation Report is
qualification for, and inclusion in, the published International Building
Code. In addition, LEEP, Inc. has retained NCE, Inc. to provide technical
engineering support and expertise to spearhead the submittal process to
certify LeepCore(TM) as a "Green" building product in the State of California.
Users of "Green" building products in California can qualify for various tax
incentives, and are supported and encouraged by the State government for their
environmental awareness and positive action. NCE, Inc., a licensed and highly
experienced firm, will review testing procedures, requirements, details, and
results necessary for both the State of California "Green" certification, as
well as the International Code Council Evaluation for the LeepCore(TM)
structural insulated panel. NCE, Inc. will prepare the required reports for
submittal, and manage the process to completion, including response to any ICC
or California comments or questions.
LEEP, Inc. recently obtained certification of its LeepCore(TM) panel in
compliance with the most recent 2006 and 2007 State of Florida Building Code
Standards, and is currently completing the validation process there. "While
our panels have passed a broad range of extensive tests under a variety of
conditions, we have received sincere international interest in the
LeepCore(TM) product and feel the ICC certification is the final step to
providing architects and engineers with the validation they need to specify
LeepCore(TM) for new structural uses in the global marketplace. California is
generally regarded as the litmus test for environmental issues and acceptance
of environmentally friendly products. Certification as a 'Green' building
product will be significantly positive for LeepCore(TM)," stated John
Nordstrom, CEO of LEEP, Inc.
