LASERTEC CORPORATION Yokohama, Japan, June 27, 2024- Lasertec Corporation announces that it will achieve net zero GHG emissions from its electricity use at its own locations in Japan by switching the electricity used there to electricity virtually derived from renewable energy sources starting July 2024. This is part of its efforts to achieve its mid- to long-term environmental goals1.
Lasertec has decided to enter into the "Green Basic Plan" offered by TEPCO Energy Partner, Inc., under which Lasertec receives non-fossil fuel certificates2 for the total volume of its electricity use at all its own locations in Japan.
Lasertec is dedicated to taking action proactively to address climate change.

1. Lasertec aims to reduce the Scope 1+2 emissions of its Japan Headquarters by 42% by 2030, compared to 2023, and achieve net zero Scope 1+2 emissions by 2050.
2. Electricity generated by non-fossil fuel power sources, such as solar and wind energy, has "environmental value". A non-fossil fuel certificate is a representation of this value that can be traded on the market.
