Arnaud Lagardère, who was forced to step down as CEO of Lagardère in April, is to take over the reins of the group, the latter announced in a press release published on Friday.

Arnaud Lagardère was indicted at the end of April as part of a judicial investigation opened in April 2021 on the basis of a complaint lodged by the Amber Capital fund and a report from the Autorité des marchés financiers. The businessman has lodged an appeal.

The indictment was accompanied by a provisional management ban, forcing Arnaud Lagardère to relinquish his executive mandates within the Group.

On Friday, Lagardère announced that the Board of Directors had appointed Arnaud Lagardère as CEO following "the partial lifting of the management ban imposed on him".
