Lothar F. P. Freund, Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of Kraton Performance Polymers Inc. and a named executive officer, is leaving the Company pursuant to the mutual agreement of Dr. Freund and the Company. Following a transition period, Dr. Freund will leave the Company in the fourth quarter of 2016.

Kraton Corporation is a specialty chemicals company. The Company manufactures styrenic block copolymers (SBCs), specialty polymers, and performance products primarily derived from pine wood pulping co-products. The Company operates through two segments: Polymer segment and Chemical segment. The Polymer segment consists of its SBCs and other engineered polymers business. The Company's SBCs are engineered synthetic elastomers, which are used in a range of applications, including adhesives, coatings, consumer and personal care products, sealants, lubricants, medical, packaging, automotive, paving and roofing, and footwear products. Its products are also found in medical applications, personal care products, such as disposable diapers, oil additives, gels, and various other consumer goods. The Chemical segment consists of its pine-based specialty products business. Its chemical segment focuses on three product groups: adhesives, performance chemicals, and tires.
