KOMEDA Holdings Co., Ltd. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the nine months ended November 30, 2018. For the period, revenue was JPY 22,292 million against JPY 19,080 million a year ago. Operating profit was JPY 5,580 million against JPY 5,317 million a year ago. Net income was JPY 3,776 million against JPY 3,602 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share were JPY 83.78 against JPY 80.83 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share were JPY 82.61 against JPY 78.90 a year ago.
For the year ending February 28, 2019, on consolidated basis, the company expects revenue of JPY 30,301 million, operating profit of JPY 7,565 million, net income of JPY 5,103 million or basic earnings per share of JPY 113.10.
For the year ending February 28, 2019, the company forecasts dividend of ¥25.00 per share against ¥25.00 per share paid for the same period a year ago.
KOMEDA Holdings Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based holding company engaged in the operation of chain coffee shops. The Company operates the franchise (FC) and other related business of coffee shops with a focus on wholesale for FC member stores of coffee shops. The franchise business is developed under the brands of Komeda Coffee Shop and Okagean. For FC members, the Company selects store openings based on surveys from original data, provides design and construction know-how for store buildings and interiors, teachs coffee shop management, manufactures and wholesales food ingredients, and subleases store buildings. The Company opens directly managed stores as training facilities and model stores for FC member stores. The Company also owns the brands of Shiro Coppe and Komeda Stand.
