Kier Living awarded HBF 5* rating

12/03/2015

Kier Living has been awarded a 5* rating in the annual Home Builders Federation (HBF) customer satisfaction survey, achieving the top score competing against hundreds of house builders across the UK.

The survey is designed to provide buyers with information about house builders to help guide their purchasing decision, and to encourage excellent levels of service to be delivered by developers.

Kier Living was awarded the rating in the 'would you recommend your builder to a friend' category and achieved a yes rating of more than 90%.

John Anderson, Kier Living executive director, said: "Our team's commitment to quality and customer service has resulted in Kier Living being awarded an HBF 5* status. We are one of only 15 house builders in the country to be awarded five stars this year. The results are confirmation of the fantastic progress made by all areas of the business in recent years with every team delivering the highest levels of service to all our customers.

"Over 90% of our customers say they would be willing to recommend Kier Living to a friend. To record such a high score is an outstanding achievement and means potential buyers can rest assured they would be making a good decision buying a Kier Living home."

Stewart Baseley, executive chairman of the Home Builders Federation, said: "The customer satisfaction survey is an excellent way of measuring the level of customer service house builders achieve. The scheme is an independently monitored survey of the people who really matter to our industry, our customers. To achieve such a high level of customer satisfaction requires commitment from board room to site, and is a fantastic achievement."

HBF and NHBC (National House-Building Council) launched the latest survey results at an event yesterday (Wednesday 11 March) at the Institution of Civil Engineers in Westminster.

The HBF national survey of house builders is a self-completion census completed by the purchasers of new build homes. They are carried out by NHBC and cover the 12 months from October 2013 to September 2014.

Now in their tenth year, the HBF Star Ratings are independent and based on results of the National New Homes Survey. The survey is operated by NHBC, is entirely independent of any builder or builder group and is independently validated by Reading University.
