K&S Corporation announces Chief Executive Officer succession process

K&S Corporation Limited ("K&S") wishes to advise that after 39 years at K&S, the last 14 of which he has occupied the position of Chief Executive Officer, Mr Legh Winser will be retiring on a date to be determined in 2012. The Board and Mr Winser confirm that they will be commencing an orderly succession to a new Chief Executive Officer, with it being anticipated that this transition will be completed in the first half of this calendar year.
The Board is grateful to Mr Winser for his vision, dedication and passion over his many years at K&S. However, it is hoped that those qualities will not be lost to the Company with Mr Winser expressing a desire to remain as a non-executive director. The Board anticipates that Mr Winser may return as a non-executive director after an appropriate period of time has elapsed following his retirement as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director.
Mr Winser has been instrumental in driving K&S' current strategy of targeting the oil, gas and resources industry in Western Australia. During his tenure as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Mr Winser developed a strong executive management team which the Board has the utmost confidence will continue to deliver on K&S' strategy.
The Board will appoint external recruitment consultants to undertake an extensive search to find the best candidate to replace Mr Winser as Chief Executive Officer. In that process, the Board will consider both external and internal candidates.
Details of the transition process will be disclosed to the market once finalised. To ensure the integrity of the process is maintained, K&S will not be commenting further about the search for a replacement until a new Chief Executive Officer has been appointed.
