JK Holdings Co., Ltd. signed a contract to acquire Kyoto Sheet Glass Co., Ltd. from Nippon Sheet Glass Company, Limited.

JK Holdings Co., Ltd. (TSE:9896) signed a contract to acquire Kyoto Sheet Glass Co., Ltd. from Nippon Sheet Glass Company, Limited (TSE:5202) on June 30, 2020. JK Holdings will acquire 9.6 million shares. Kyoto Sheet Glass had net liabilities of ¥289 million, total assets of ¥537 million, sales of ¥1.6 billion, operating income of ¥39 million and net income of ¥27 million in year ended March 31, 2020.
Transaction is expected to close on July 16, 2020. The effect of the transaction on JK Holdings' consolidated business results for the fiscal year ending March 2021 is immaterial.
JK Holdings Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of plywood, the processing and sale of wood, and the wholesale and retail of plywood, plywood secondary products, building materials and housing equipment. The Company has three business segments. The General Building Material Wholesale segment is mainly engaged in the wholesale of plywood, plywood secondary products, building materials and housing equipment.
