Portlogic Systems Inc. announced the integration of Clip Mobile Inc's mobile couponing technology within Portlogic's Proximity Mobile Marketing Network. Portlogic's network utilizes outdoor advertising technology, broadcast kiosk stations, and mobile application publishers, to provide consumers with proximity based information and advertising. Industry observers predict mobile marketing will continue to grow and become a more standard aspect of mobile phone use in the years to come. A Mobile Marketing Association report found that 29% of mobile users are open to scanning tags to get coupons. The Mobile Marketing Association also reported coupons delivered via mobile media receive a 10 to 1,000% greater response rate than print coupons. eMarketer echoed this fact as it anticipates a 14% increase in redemption of mobile coupons, and a 65% growth in mobile ad revenue, in 2012 alone.
