Innovative Card Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:INVC), developers of the ICT DisplayCard for e-banking, e-commerce and data access authentication, today announced that Sandra Peres has joined the company as Vice President of Sales, Latin America. Peres served previously as Executive Superintendent of Research and Innovations at Banco Bradesco, the most prolific payment card issuer in South America and an industry-leading bank security innovator. Peres was directly responsible for numerous technical innovations during her 16-year career there, including the introduction of one-time-password (OTP) security.

?Sandra has been an undisputed global leader in adapting and integrating cutting-edge technology to strengthen bank security and to enhance the experience of the customer throughout Latin America,? said John A. Ward, III, Chairman and CEO of InCard. ?Her familiarity with sophisticated multi-layered banking security systems, as well as her experience implementing successful dual-factor authentication technologies in the financial sector will be a great asset in this robust Latin American online banking market. Brazil alone has over 35 million online banking customers, and is an early adopter of security technologies.?

During her 16-year career at Banco Bradesco, Peres was directly responsible for developing and implementing many technical innovations, including adopting the first OTP in Latin America for bank users. The large-scale OTP rollout included multi-channel applications: Internet banking, ATM, call center and mobile banking. Peres managed all phases of the project including the partnership with local supplier Infoserver to develop the back-end solution, which utilized Open AuTHentication (OATH). Banco Bradesco was then only the fifth bank in the world to offer Internet banking.

Additionally, Peres implemented the ATM Check Book Dispenser, which prints checks for the user directly at the ATM. She also developed and implemented Transfer and Authentication Number, Biometrics Solutions, Wireless Branches (first in Latin America), and WiMax (second-generation wireless protocol).

?I have been intrigued by Innovative Card Technologies' ICT DisplayCard since I first discovered it in January of 2006,? said Peres. ?I believe that the ICT DisplayCard is unique in the world; an extremely convenient and secure way to authenticate online accounts in a form factor familiar to banks. I am eager to introduce this technology to my former colleagues in Latin America's banking sector.?
