Donated sneakers to 49 children of child welfare facilities, including Jin-Yeowon in Chungju and Yeoju salvation army.

- "A message of encouragement for children going through tough times due to COVID-19"

On April 30th, Hyundai Elevator (CEO Song Seung-bong) visited Jin-Yeowon in Chungju (Dongnyang-myeon, Chungju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do) and gave sneakers to 33 children as presents. It also gave sneaker gift cards to 16 children in Nuri-House in Yeoju, which has been its sister organization for 14 years.

To fulfill its corporate social responsibility, Hyundai Elevator launched its community service program in 2008 and has been running a volunteer program with all of its employees. With COVID-19 posing limitations to onsite volunteering, Hyundai Elevator began contactless volunteering activities from last year, which can be done at home. Examples of these activities include making masks, comfort toys and wreaths for underprivileged children. This year, it is planning to widen its program, with activities such as making Braille plates for the visually impaired.

"It is a message of encouragement for underprivileged children going through tougher times with limited voluntary service during COVID-19. Hyundai Elevator will continue its corporate citizenship to care for the underprivileged in the community," said Song Seung-bong, the CEO of the company.
