Hankook Tire Co., Ltd. announced new executive appointments made to further its goal of becoming a global top-tier company by enhancing global competitiveness. The changes will take effect on January 1, 2018. The company appointed Soo Il Lee as President & CEO of the company.

He will serve alongside CEO Hyun Bum Cho as a separate representative of the company. Lee will oversee it's management, using experience gained by serving as COO of the company's America & China Headquarters, and as Chief Marketing & Corporate Management Officer. With President Lee's global expertise, the company will continue the 29 years of professional management system that started from 1988 and focus on accelerating growth as a global top-tier company.

Along with President Lee, one Executive Vice President, five Senior Vice Presidents and seventeen Vice Presidents were also appointed. The company has restructured its organization to respond to the global market and customers with more agility. Vice Chairman Seung-hwa Suh, serving as the CEO of the company since 2007 and leading the company's growth towards a global top tier company, will retire and serve in an advisory role.
