Hanil Iron & Steel Co., Ltd reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was KRW 60,581.37 million compared to KRW 65,600.97 million a year ago. Net loss was KRW 447.67 million compared to net income of KRW 10,306.69 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was KRW 18 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of KRW 470 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was KRW 18 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of KRW 468 a year ago. For the six months, sales was KRW 132,877.12 million compared to KRW 116,976.76 million a year ago. Net income was KRW 2,515.47 million compared to KRW 14,228.34 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was KRW 103 compared to KRW 591 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was KRW 103 compared to KRW 585 a year ago. HANIL IRON& STEEL CO., LTD is a Korea-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of steel products. The Company produces and wholesales iron plates such as hot rolled steels, thick plates and shape steels used for automobile parts, ship machineries, construction, boilers and others. It also involves in the processing of coils and shots. In addition, the Company is engaged in the steel pipes and marine transportation business through its affiliated companies. It distributes its steel products within domestic market and to overseas markets.
