On April 16, 2020, Granite Falls Energy, LLC management determined that it is in the best interest of the Company to extend the current shutdown of the Company’s ethanol production operations, which commenced on or about April 3, 2020 and was originally anticipated to end on April 17, 2020, through April 30, 2020, due to market risks and uncertainties related to the COVID-19 pandemic and its ramifications. As the currently anticipated date of April 30, 2020 approaches, the Company will evaluate whether an additional period of idle after April 30, 2020 is appropriate, based on continuously updated information and practices. The Company will provide additional disclosure in the event that the Company determines that an additional extension of the idle period is appropriate.
