The Washington Post has announced Marisa Farina has been named Managing Director of Washington Post Live, a leading platform for convening longform discussions with newsmakers, elected officials and industry experts. In this role, Farina will help develop Live's business strategy and will oversee a dedicated sales unit responsible for expanding opportunities for brands to work with Washington Post Live. Farina began consulting with the Live team this summer as it ramped up virtual events, which now number over 130. Despite the pandemic, Washington Post Live has significantly built its sponsorships business projecting to be up 30 percent in revenue year over year.
