On September 7, 2023, David Pessah notified Goldman Sachs BDC, Inc. (the Company) of his intention to resign as Treasurer and principal accounting officer of the Company to pursue a new professional opportunity. Effective November 10, 2023, Mr. Pessah will cease serving as the Company's Treasurer and principal accounting officer. Mr. Pessah's resignation is not the result of any disagreement with the Company.
To assist in an orderly transition, Mr. Pessah will continue to serve in his current role during the transition period.
Goldman Sachs BDC, Inc. is a specialty finance company focused on lending to middle-market companies. The Company seeks to generate current income and, to a lesser extent, capital appreciation primarily through direct originations of secured debt, including first lien, first lien/last-out unitranche and second lien debt, and unsecured debt, including mezzanine debt, as well as through select equity investments. It may also originate covenant-lite loans, which are loans with fewer financial maintenance covenants than other obligations, or no financial maintenance covenants.
