Gartner, Inc. (NYSE: IT), the leading provider of research and analysis on the global information technology industry, today announced that it will increase its presence in Thailand by transitioning to a direct business operation effective February 1, 2017.

As part of the company's business expansion strategy for the region, Gartner (Thailand) will provide dedicated client management and business development functions.

Establishing a direct business organization will enable Gartner to enhance the level of personalized service the Company can provide to its growing client base in Thailand. The direct investment in Thailand is in line with Gartner's international strategy to expand operations so we can directly serve our clients in high growth regions.

'The establishment of a dedicated direct business operation in Thailand is a significant milestone in Gartner's history in the country,' said Thomas Kinslow, group vice president of sales, Gartner. 'Building on our existing client relationships, we will now direct additional investments into our operation in Thailand and recruit additional client-facing personnel.'

Gartner has hired a sales team in Thailand, and they will be based in our new office located in Bangkok.

According to Gartner, IT spending by enterprises in Thailand is expected to reach $16.5 billion in 2017 and projected to grow 3.2% in 2018 to $17 billion.
