Rosebud Media signed an agreement to acquire the Medford, Oregon Mail Tribune and related assets from New Media Investment Group Inc. (NYSE:NEWM) for $15 million on January 31, 2017. The consideration payable is seven times the 2016 adjusted EBITDA. Grady Singletary, Mail Tribune Publisher will remain as vice president with GateHouse Media, the newspaper operations arm of New Media Investment Group, but will stay with the paper for a few months during a transition period. The transaction is expected to close in the middle of February 2017.
