FTI Consulting : Gustavo Morales Oliver Appointed Brazil Leader of FTI Consulting’s Forensic and Litigation Consulting Segment

Washington, D.C., Feb. 27, 2024 - FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the appointment of Managing Director Gustavo Morales Oliver as Head of the firm's Forensic and Litigation Consulting segment in Brazil.

Mr. Morales Oliver will lead and manage a multidisciplinary team including senior experts Ricardo Indalecio, Renato Akamine and other highly skilled professionals, advising on forensics, investigations, monitorships, risk and crisis management, litigation support, business intelligence, due diligence, asset tracing, compliance, geopolitical risk analysis, data analytics and cybersecurity, among other FTI Consulting solutions.

In addition to leading the team in Brazil, Mr. Morales Oliver will continue his regional role working with clients across Latin America and North America. He will be based out of FTI Consulting's offices in São Paulo, Brazil, and Toronto, Canada.

Before joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Morales Oliver was partner and Chair of the Compliance, Anti-corruption & Investigations practice at a major law firm in Latin America, where he also had significant experience in M&A and litigation. Earlier in his career, he served in the public sector and as in-house counsel. He was also a foreign attorney at Yuasa and Hara in Tokyo, Japan.

Mr. Morales Oliver is admitted to the Bar in Buenos Aires and New York, and over the years he has been singled out as a leading compliance and investigations practitioner by international rankings including Chambers & Partners, Who's Who Legal, Global Investigations Review, Lexology and The Legal 500.

Mr. Morales Oliver holds an LL.M. (Master of Laws) degree from the University of Illinois, a Specialist Degree in Finance from Universidad de San Andres, an Executive Diploma in Business Administration from Universidad de Belgrano and a law degree from Universidad Torcuato di Tella. He was also co-editor and co-author of the Compliance Treatise, published by Thomson Reuters. Additionally, he has been featured as speaker, lecturer and professor at leading conferences, university courses and graduate programs in Latin America, the United States and Europe.
