German healthcare group Fresenius SE & Co. KGaA (XTRA:FRE) has put up the rehabilitation clinics business of its subsidiary Vamed for sale in a potential deal which could value the unit at EUR 600 million (USD 653.6 million), German paper Handelsblatt reported on January 25, 2024. The business has attracted the interest of financial investor Waterland, which has reached the second round of the ongoing auction process, the paper said, citing unnamed sources.

Waterland owns the rehabilitation clinic chain Median, which operates more than 430 hospitals and facilities in Germany, the UK, and Spain. The financial investor would achieve synergies if it merges its business with Vamed Reha. Final bids for Fresenius?
