Formosa International Hotels Corporation signed a lease agreement with Chunghwa Post Co. Ltd. to establish a Silks Place Taipei Hotel at the Xinwei Building. Due to extensive urban renewal deliberation and delayed permit processing for the Xinwei Building, construction could not be completed as originally scheduled in 2020. After deliberation by both parties, they agreed to terminate the contract.
