Front-End Developer

FLYHT is looking for a passionate and creative Front-End Developer to join the Enterprise Software team in building highly interactive, intuitive and responsive user interfaces. Responsibilities

  • Improve the quality of the existing UI and develop new user-facing features
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Reorganize the software flow to uplift the user experience
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders (e.g. Product Owner, Product and Accounts Management)
  • Perform code reviews, unit testing, and system testing as needed for other developers' efforts
  • Follow a defined SDLC in an agile environment and maintain design documentation and tests as per the standard operating procedures
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use

Qualifications

  • 4 years working experience as a Front-end Developer
  • Minimum three years of experience in modern web development tools and frameworks like AngularJS, React, Typescript, JQuery and hands on experience with frontend design patterns like MVC, MVVM
  • Responsive web design using Bootstrap or Angular Material
  • Hands on experience with CSS preprocessor like Sass or Less
  • Good understanding of REST methods and of network protocol such as WebSocket, HTTP and HTTPS
  • Fluency in HTML 5, CSS, Linting, and familiar with front end build tools like Grunt, Webpack or Gulp
  • Comfortable using Linux environment
  • Experience in bundling, minification and cache busting and ideally, experience in relational database like MySQL, Oracle or SQL Server
  • Previous experience in the following are an asset: upgrading application from AngularJS (version 1) to Angular 2; Google Maps API, NoSQL database like Mongo, Cassandra, Agile development process, Git, Stash, Jenkins, JIRA, and Backend programing using Java
