First Quantum Minerals Ltd. announced operating and sales results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2017. For the quarter, the company reported copper production of 154,319 tonnes against 146,101 tonnes a year ago. Nickel production was nil contained tonnes against 6,205 contained tonnes a year ago. Gold production was 51,904 ounces against 54,234 ounces a year ago. Zinc production was 3,555 ounces compared to 11,084 ounces a year ago.

For the full year, the company reported copper production of 573,963 tonnes against 539,458 tonnes a year ago. Nickel production was 17,837 contained tonnes against 23,624 contained tonnes a year ago. Gold production was 199,736 ounces against 214,012 ounces a year ago. Zinc production was 20,723 ounces compared to 28,862 ounces a year ago.

For the quarter, the company reported Copper sales of 151,905 tonnes against 136,265 tonnes a year ago. Nickel sales were 865 contained tonnes against 6,073 contained tonnes a year ago. Gold sales were 50,723 ounces against 45,620 ounces a year ago. Zinc sales were 3,282 tonnes compared to 11,971 tonnes a year ago.

For the full year, the company reported Copper sales of 580,130 tonnes against 535,613 tonnes a year ago. Nickel sales were 18,683 contained tonnes against 25,882 contained tonnes a year ago. Gold sales were 201,376 ounces against 232,783 ounces a year ago. Zinc sales were 21,851 tonnes compared to 27,361 tonnes a year ago.
