First Investment Bank AD Sofia : Competition "Best Bulgarian Firm of the Year"

220 Bulgarian companies took part in the competition organized by Fibank

POBEDA AD won the prize in category Medium and large companies in the competition Best Bulgarian Firm of the Year. The company was founded in 1929 and is one of the leading manufacturers of confectionery in Bulgaria.

Runners-up in one of the main categories are the companies FERMATA AD (manufacture of meat products) and RUDI-AN EOOD (manufacture of furniture for home and office).

In the category Micro and small Bulgarian companies the prize was awarded to ATM ELECTRONICS OOD. The company offers comprehensive services in the field of assembly of electronic printed circuit boards, assembly of modules and systems. The second and third place respectively were taken by company ILINA OOD, which is engaged in production of aluminum and PVC, and GlassCo OOD, a manufacturer of high quality processed glass and mirrors.

The prize in the category Start-up businesses was awarded to the educational portal UCHA.SE followed by the IT company AKSIDIA AD and the manufacturer of systems for parachute jumps ADVANCED PARACHUTE SYSTEMS EOOD.

For favorite of the audience after disputed vote on the contest site was selected the company EURO GAMES TECHNOLOGY OOD, which manufactures slot machines and is one of the fastest growing companies in the global casino industry.

In this year's edition of the contest the organizers gave an award in the new category Implementation of innovations. The leader in the category is the technology company SISCOM TRADING OOD, which specializes in the development and implementation of information systems. Second place went to Gabrovo engineering giant MECHATRONICS, followed by MOBILE SYSTEMS OOD, which develops software solutions and applications for mobile devices.

"Every day good ideas are born in Bulgaria, but unfortunately most of them are not implemented, if someone does not support them. So we decided for the next edition of the competition to introduce another category in our initiative - Project financing of business talents with which First Investment Bank will provide financial support to business projects selected by jury ", said Vasil Hristov - Executive Director of Fibank and member of the jury.

The other members of the jury are: Svetla Kostadinova - Executive Director of the Institute for Market Economics, Venelina Gocheva - Manager of Media Group Bulgaria Holding, Emil Hursev - financier, Lachezar Bogdanov - Managing Partner in Industry Watch, Yordan Mateev - Chief Editor of Forbes - Bulgaria magazine and Kancho Stoychev - sociologist.
