Export Import Bank of Bangladesh Limited is engaged in Islamic Banking based on Islamic Sharia. The Company is principally engaged in commercial banking activities, including mobilizing deposits, providing investment facilities, discounting bills, conducting money transfers, foreign exchange transactions, and providing services, such as safe keeping, issuing guarantees, acceptances, and letters of credit, among others. The bank carries out its banking activities through approximately 148 branches operating as per Islamic Shariah in the country. The Company has approximately three off-shore banking units (OBUs), which are located in Dhaka and Chittagong. The Companyâs subsidiaries include EXIM Exchange Company (UK) Ltd., EXIM Finance (Hong Kong) Limited and EXIM Islami Investment Ltd. (EIIL). EIIL carries out merchant banking activities and conducts specified services for its customers.
