Appointment of Executive Director

Excelsior Capital Limited (ASX: ECL) is very pleased to announce the appointment Jakov Males as an Executive Director.

Prior to joining ECL, Jakov spent 12 years at UBS Asset Management (Australia) as Managing Director, Head of Australian Equities and as a member of the board. Previous positions included Head of Australian Equities at Allianz Global Investors, as well as roles at a domestic boutique fund manager, Deutsche Asset Management and Lendlease.

As Head of Equities at UBS Asset Management (Australia), his responsibilities included large and small capitalisation Australian equities, global and domestic REITs, and Sustainable (ESG) portfolios, that together represented more than $6bn in assets under management for institutional and retail investors.

Mr Males has over 20 years asset management experience as a team leader, portfolio manager and senior analyst. His extensive investment management experience and a background in fundamental valuation driven research, analysis and portfolio construction will bring a great variety of expertise to ECL.

Mr Males will be paid a fixed cash remuneration of $150,000 per year base salary plus superannuation at the statutory rate. Mr Males' executive role can be terminated on 14 days notice by either party and is otherwise on market standard terms and conditions.

The Board has also approved the remuneration of Ms Catelan, Executive Director, with effect in and from FY21 will be a fixed cash remuneration of $150,000 base salary plus superannuation at the statutory rate. Ms Catelan's executive role can be terminated on 14 days notice by either party and is otherwise on market standard terms and conditions.
