Erste Bank is raising interest rates on s Kapital Sparen savings accounts (one-time deposit) for a second time. After the last hike in August, interest rates will go up again as of 7 October 2011. The interest rate starting today is 2.25% p.a. fixed for 12 months.

A special offer will apply to s Prämien Sparen (monthly deposits) from 17 Oct. to 4 Nov. 2011: 3.00% p.a. initial rate in the first year; maximum deposit per quarter: EUR 1,500. After the end of the first year, the s Prämien Sparen deposits will receive the standard interest rate applicable at the time.

Interest rates on loans for new business will not change.

The key lending rate of the European Central Bank is currently 1.5%. Cuts by the ECB in the coming months cannot be ruled out.
