Lohne, 05 January 2017 - The service expertise of EnviTec Biogas AG from Lower Saxony is currently in high demand. 'We're very pleased to announce our recent signing of a comprehensive service agreement for the Czech Republic and Slovakia with the Dutch company MAN Rollo BV,' says Hendrik van der Tol, Managing Director of EnviTec Service s.r.o, which is based in the Czech town of Velké Meziříčí. 'This is an important milestone in our efforts to take our service portfolio to markets outside the biogas sector,' he continues.

The Dutch company MAN Rollo BV is part of Pon Holdings BV, an international company employing a workforce of around 14,000 people. In the Netherlands, Pon is a well-known importer and distributor for the VW Group and Caterpillar. Pon subsidiary MAN Rollo operates as an importer of MAN diesel and gas engines to the Benelux countries, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Ireland, Slovakia and the United Kingdom.

'This makes us the only official MAN Service Partner for the Czech Republic and Slovakia,' explains van der Tol. MAN Rollo sees the cooperation as part of a new strategy for investing in a sustainable service model and establishing local service partnerships. Initial estimates show that there are around 100 MAN cogeneration units in the region. Van der Tol summarizes the new business model as 'offering servicing, retrofitting and replacements for existing plant, as well as spare part sales. We're looking to complete all of the preparatory work - such as training - by February 2017, so that we'll be able to roll out our service business to MAN Rollo by early spring 2017.'

For its part, MAN Rollo is also clearly more than satisfied with the new agreement: 'EnviTec Biogas Service has a solid reputation in the Czech and Slovak biogas sector,' says Danny de Lange, Sales Manager at MAN Rollo. 'Wherever you look in the Group, you're sure to find professional service offered at attractive conditions.'
