Radio Mirchi revenues grow 9%
Mumbai, August 4, 2015:

Entertainment Network (India) Ltd, the operator of India's #1 FM radio channel Radio Mirchi, today declared its result for the quarter ended June 30, 2015.

ENIL revenues grew 9.1% to Rs 101.6 crores, notching up Rs 100 crores plus revenues for the first time in the first quarter. However, EBITDA growth was muted at 1.8% at Rs 35.4 crores, largely because of enhanced marketing and Phase-3 related expenses. Profit after Tax (PAT) grew by 6.5% to Rs.25.9 crores in Q1FY16.

Commenting on the results, Mr. Prashant Panday, MD & CEO, ENIL, said: "It's been a sombre quarter for radio companies, largely on account of the high base of election advertising last year. Overall advertising growth remains satisfactory, though below expectations, possibly because of the sluggish economy. The good news is that Phase-3 auctions have finally started. This will spur new growth in the years to come"
