Today Endesa Chile signed an agreement for the sale of its 20% stake in GNL Quintero S.A. to Enagás Chile S.p.A., a 100% owned subsidiary of Spanish company Enagás S.A. The agreed price is 200 million US dollars and will be paid on the day of closing, which is expected to take place in the second half of 2016. Endesa Chile will report a net income of approximately 139 million US dollars as a result of the sale.

Endesa Chile decided to sell its stake in GNL Quintero as this terminal is no longer a strategic asset for the development of the company's business in the power sector and in the trading of natural gas.

The sale of the stake to Enagás Chile S.p.A. is subject to meeting the customary conditions for this type of transaction, including the non-exercise by the other shareholders of GNL Quintero S.A. of their pre-emption right.
