ELK-Desa Resources Berhad Announces Retirement of Directors

ELK-Desa Resources Berhad announced that Mr. Loong Foo Ching, Mr. Ng Soon Lai @ Ng Siek Chuan and Ms. Toh Jyh Wei retire as Directors of the Company at the conclusion of this 35th AGM to be held on August 8, 2024 and they do not wish to seek for re-election.

ELK-Desa Resources Berhad is an investment holding company. The Company operates through two segments: Hire purchase financing and Furniture. The Hire purchase financing segment is engaged in hire-purchase financing and other integrated services (insurance agent). The Furniture segment is engaged in trading and wholesaling of home furniture. Its furniture products are predominantly manufactured by contract manufacturers locally and from overseas. This segment has a small furniture assembly facility. The Company, through its subsidiaries, ELK-Desa Capital Sdn Bhd is primarily involved in the business of hire purchase financing for used motor vehicles, as well as selling general insurance policies as an insurance agent., and ELK-Desa Furniture Sdn Bhd, which is involved in the business of trading and wholesaling of home furniture. The Company has two furniture retail showrooms located in Klang, Selangor. The Companyâs products are distributed under its own brand, ELK-DESA.
