Seismic remains highly effective in generating structural and stratigraphic information and while there have been significant advances in AVO and seismic inversion, gaps still remain when it comes to fluid content and the estimation of hydrocarbon volumes.

The January 2015 edition of Offshore Engineer featured an article that looks at how operators can fill those gaps and lower their exploration costs by integrating seismic with electromagnetic methods to reduce fluid and volume uncertainty.
