Electrawinds SE announced earnings results for the first half year of 2013. For the period, the company reported total operating revenues increased to EUR 63.9 million. The total increase of EUR 13.1 million is attributable to the Wind segment (EUR 3.4 million), the Bio segment (EUR 9.7 million) and the Solar segment (EUR 0.4 million) compared to the same period last year.

EBITDA amounted to EUR 11.9 million, a EUR 1.3 million decline versus the comparable period of 2012 and attributable to the Bio segment. The recurring operating loss decreased from EUR 0.9 million in first half year of 2012 to EUR 5.0 million. The reported operating loss amounts to EUR 17.1 million and includes impairment charges of EUR 12.1 million on liquid biomass activities and on some development projects in line with the business plan approved by the Board of Directors.

The financial loss amounted to EUR 12.6 million. The net loss of the Group amounted to EUR 38.4 million compared to EUR 12.0 million at the end of the first semester 2012. Excluding one-off elements (impairments, new fair value changes and reversal of deferred tax assets), the net loss amounts to EUR 17.0 million, a slight decrease compared to the EUR 16.0 million net result excluding one-off elements posted in first half year of 2012.
