ECSTELECOM Co., Ltd. (KOSDAQ:A067010) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to KRW 2,000 million worth of its own shares pursuant to a contract with Shinhan Investment Corp. The purpose of the buyback is to improve shareholder value and to stabilize stock price. The plan will be valid up to June 3, 2020. As on June 4, 2019, the company had 908,810 shares in treasury under dividend capacity and no shares under any other capacities.
Ecstelecom Co Ltd is a Korea-based company engaged in the manufacture of communications systems. The Company mainly operates its business under four divisions: Internet protocol (IP) telephony, time division multiple (TDM) exchange system, contact center solution and trading system. Its IP telephony division provides IP telephones that enable voice communication via IP network, supporting integration of diverse communication media including voices, data and videos. Its contact center solutions consist of computer telephony integration (CTI) systems, interactive voice response (IVR) systems and outbound systems, among others. Its trading system division provides BT Dealer Board, which is used for foreign exchange as well as options and stock trading. The Company also provides contact center repair and maintenance services.
